When soldiers and officers need moral support, representatives of spiritual service—military chaplains—are always nearby. During World War II, military clergy served in the armies of many warring countries, including the British Armed Forces. The British Army Chaplains Department, established in 1796, was renamed the Royal Army Chaplains’ Department (RAChD) in February 1919.

During World War II, British military chaplains performed their duties selflessly across all theatres of war. To conduct services in field conditions, the clergy used specially equipped mobile field chapels. One such chapel was based on an American-made G7117 truck. The closed cargo area contained a small field altar with necessary service equipment, and could accommodate a harmonium. These specially equipped trucks of various types served in all combat areas.

Model Features

The set includes a chaplain figure, British World War II soldiers, and mobile field chapel truck

Mobile chapel interior with harmonium, field altar, and worship equipment

Perfect for creating a World War II battlefield workshop service diorama

Includes supplementary field chapel details

Model Information

Scale: 1:35

Number of Parts: 286 + 33 pieces (319 total)

Figures: 5 Figures Included

Includes detailed assembly instructions

Highly detailed sprues with high accuracy made from quality plastic

Box size: 294 x 230 x 58 mm

Examples of the Decals & Sprues

At a glance

Scale: 1:35

Type: Assembly Kit

Subject: Utility Vehicles

Nation: British

Era: 1939-1945 - World War II

Brand: ICM

Product code: ICM35585

Supplied unassembled and unpainted.
