This original vehicle was based on the standard British army vehicle Leyland Retriever. A non-standard structure was installed on the basic chassis, which was a mobile field office, the interior of which was divided into two rooms. The front small room was equipped with a bathroom, while the large room had wardrobes for things and clothes, a desk with table lamps and a large sofa.

Montgomery had two more special trucks at his disposal, one of which was converted into a mobile sleeping room and the other was used for large staff maps and for meetings. All three vehicles are also known as ‘Monty's Caravan’. They were used by General (and from 1944 Field Marshal) Montgomery until the very end of the war.

Model Features

One of the most famous vehicles of World War II - Montgomery's mobile office, known as "Monty's Office Caravan"

The vehicle features a meticulously detailed interior

The decals include portraits of German military commanders that adorned the walls of Montgomery's actual mobile office

Assembly options let you build the vehicle with an extended canopy and additional steps

Colour schemes show the office's different paint variations throughout the war periods

Model Interior Details

The vehicle features a meticulously detailed office interior, complete with a writing desk with lamps, sofa, shelves, storage cabinets, and picture frames

The bathroom interior has also been faithfully recreated

Markings Available

Monty's Office Caravan, North Africa, Autumn 1942

Monty's Office Caravan, Tripoli, Summer 1943

Monty's Office Caravan, Germany, Spring 1945

Model Information

Scale: 1:35

Number of Parts: 436 pieces

Length: 202 mm

Height: 91 mm

Includes detailed assembly instructions

Highly detailed sprues with high accuracy made from quality plastic

Box size: 294 x 230 x 58 mm

At a glance

Scale: 1:35

Type: Assembly Kit

Subject: Utility Vehicles

Nation: British

Era: 1939-1945 - World War II

Brand: ICM

Product code: ICM35603

Supplied unassembled and unpainted.
