It also serves in rescue operations, carrying a special container adapted for rescue services. These containers were originally developed by the military for CH-54 army helicopters to expand their transport capabilities. Each container featured windows, doors, and a rear ramp, allowing it to carry military equipment such as artillery pieces or light all-terrain vehicles. The containers were even used for parachute deployment of soldiers. A total of 22 containers were built, each with its own military registration number. The containers now used with the Sikorsky S-64E Skycrane are former military units repainted in the bright orange colour scheme typical of civilian S- 64 helicopters.

Key Features

Sikorsky S-64E Skycrane helicopter with universal transport container

Helicopter and container models with geometric proportions that precisely match the originals

Option to assemble the container with open doors and ramp

Decals with marking options for both helicopter and container

Model Information

Scale: 1:35

Number of Parts: 619

Length: 775 mm

Width: 225 mm

Includes detailed assembly instructions

Highly detailed sprues with high accuracy made from quality plastic

EAN: 4823044411481

Carton quantity: 5

Box size: 410 x 260 x 55 mm

At a glance

Scale: 1:35

Type: Assembly Kit

Subject: Helicopters

Nation: American

Era: 1960s

Brand: ICM

Product code: ICM53059

Supplied unassembled and unpainted.
