They found common use in the German military due to their practicality and suitability for different roles. It is one of the most recognisable vehicles of the Bundeswehr (German armed forces). In addition to the standard truck versions of the Unimog S, a body-van (‘Koffer’) variant was quite common. Some 16,000 vehicles were fitted with these body variants, and they had the longest service life among the Unimog S series trucks.

Model Features

Model of the Unimog S military vehicle with a universal van body

Highly detailed exterior including elements of the ventilation system, fuel canisters and fuel tank

Can be assembled with or without protective window screens

Decals for three marking options included

Markings Available

Unimog S 404 "Koffer", Bundeswehr artillery unit, 1970s

Unimog S 404 "Koffer", Bundeswehr aviation unit, 1970s

Unimog S 404 "Koffer", Bundeswehr armoured unit, 1970s

Model Information

Scale: 1:35

Includes detailed assembly instructions

Highly detailed sprues with high accuracy made from quality plastic

Box size: 295 x 225 x 40 mm

At a glance

Scale: 1:35

Type: Assembly Kit

Subject: Trucks

Nation: German

Era: 1970s

Brand: ICM

Product code: ICM35136

Supplied unassembled and unpainted.
