Production continued until the end of World War II, with a total production run of more than 25,000 vehicles. This truck was used by the German army, air force and navy. The vehicle had only rear-wheel drive, so it had insufficient off-road capability. To solve this problem, about 14,000 of these trucks were produced in the Maultier semi-tracked version, designated V3000S/SSM. Along with the tracks, the Maultier was also equipped with brake levers, which allowed the truck to turn on the spot like a tank. Starting in 1943, simplified cabs (‘Einheitsfahrerhaus’) were installed on Wehrmacht trucks to simplify and reduce the cost of production. In turn, the V3000S/SSM Maultier semi-tracked trucks were equipped with such cabs.

Model Features

Model of the German V3000S/SSM semi-tracked vehicle with a driver's cab typical of the second half of World War II

Two variants of wheel fenders (conventional and simplified)

Three variants of colour schemes - standard yellow (after 1943), camouflaged, and winter versions

Tactical insignia of grenadier, artillery, and anti-aircraft units included with decals

Markings Available

V3000S ‘Einheitsfahrerhaus’, 1944

V3000S ‘Einheitsfahrerhaus’, 1944 (camouflage colour version)

V3000S ‘Einheitsfahrerhaus’, 1944 (winter colour version)

Model Information

Scale: 1:35

Number of Parts: 336 pieces

Length: 182 mm

Height: 76 mm

Includes detailed assembly instructions

Highly detailed sprues with high accuracy made from quality plastic

Box size: 294 x 230 x 58 mm

At a glance

Scale: 1:35

Type: Assembly Kit

Subject: Tracked Vehicles

Nation: German

Era: 1939-1945 - World War II

Brand: ICM

Product code: ICM35410

Supplied unassembled and unpainted.
