One plane to come to fruition from this desire was the twin-engine bomber Do 17 designed and produced by German company Dornier Flugzeugwerke. Since the beginning of 1939, they produced Do 17Z planes with new “Waffenkopf” type nose part and air-cooled Bramo 323 Fafnir engines. In 1939-1940, they produced about 500 Do 17Z-1 and Do 17Z-2 bombers. They took part in all 1939-1941 Luftwaffe operations – in Polish and French companies, in the Battle of Britain, and also in Balkans and in the Eastern Front.

Model Features

An accurate copy of the prototype

Highly detailed engines and cockpit interior

Four version decal sheet is included

Markings Available

Do 17Z-2,7./ KG 3 "Blit z'; France, August 1940

Do 17Z-2, 3./ KG 76, France, August 1940

Do 17Z-2, 1./KG 2 "Holzham m er'; Greece, Мау 1941

Do 17Z-2, 15.(Kro at.)/KG 53, USSR, Winter 1941-42

Model Information

Scale: 1:48

Number of Parts: 245 pieces

Wingspan: 375 mm

Length: 330 mm

Includes detailed assembly instructions

Highly detailed sprues with high accuracy made from quality plastic

Box size: 410 x 260 x 55 mm

At a glance

Scale: 1:48

Type: Assembly Kit

Subject: Aircraft

Nation: German

Era: 1939-1945 - World War II

Brand: ICM

Product code: ICM48244

Supplied unassembled and unpainted.
