One plane to come to fruition from this desire was the twin-engine bomber He 111 designed and produced by German company Heinkel Flugzeugwerke AG. From May 1941, they produced He 111H-6 planes with liquid-cooled Jumo 211F-2 engines with increased power, VS-11 propellers and more powerful armaments. This variant could carry SC 1800kg bombs or two LT F5b torpedoes externally. The He 111H-6 was the most popular variant of Heinkel’s medium bomber with approximately 1800 aircraft produced up to the end of 1942. He 111H-6s saw service on all fronts as level bombers, torpedo bombers, reconnaissance aircraft, transports, and mine layers.

Model Features

An accurate copy of the prototype

Highly detailed engines and cockpit interior

Four version decal sheet is included

Markings Available

Не 111Н-6, 3./KG 26, Norway, Summer 1941

Не 111Н-6, Stab 1/KG 26, Bardufoss, Norway, July 1942

Не 111Н-6, 8./KG 53, Poland, June 1941

Не 111Н-6, 7./KG 27, Russia, November 1941

Model Information

Scale: 1:48

Number of Parts: 325 pieces

Wingspan: 471 mm

Length: 344 mm

Includes detailed assembly instructions

Highly detailed sprues with high accuracy made from quality plastic

Box size: 410 x 260 x 100 mm

At a glance

Scale: 1:48

Type: Assembly Kit

Subject: Aircraft

Nation: German

Era: 1939-1945 - World War II

Brand: ICM

Product code: ICM48262

Supplied unassembled and unpainted.
