The Leagues of Votann are the Kin: clone-born, stocky and pragmatic, mining the lethal riches of the galactic core with technology inherited from their ancient Votann cores — machine ancestors that remember humanity's golden age better than humanity does.
They want profit, not conquest — but wrong a Kindred and the grudge is logged, judged and repaid with interest. The Kin don't do crusades. They do invoices.
