Dark Angels
The First Legion. Secretive, stubborn and forever hunting a ten-thousand-year-old betrayal.
About Dark Angels — Lore & How They Play
The Lore
The First Legion — and the most secretive. Since their monastery-world Caliban tore itself apart in the Heresy's aftermath, the Dark Angels have hunted the Fallen, traitors from their own ranks, behind a wall of monastic ritual, hooded robes and need-to-know silence.
Their inner circle fights in specialist wings: the Terminator-clad Deathwing and the swift, bike-mounted Ravenwing — knights-errant of a Chapter that never forgives and never explains.
On the Tabletop
A flexible control army: a durable, disciplined core anchors the mid-board while the specialist wings pick off the targets that matter. Plasma is the house speciality, and 11th Edition's Dark Age Arsenal detachment leans right into it.
They reward patient play — hold your objectives, force the enemy to commit first, then punish the overextension. Just keep one genuinely mobile element in the list, or the army can turn ponderous.
