These terms apply to digital e-gift cards issued by Loaded Dice Ltd ("Loaded Dice", "we", "us", "our") and purchased from www.loadeddice.uk. By buying an e-gift card you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they explain how delivery works, what is and is not refundable, and your legal rights. Nothing in these terms removes or reduces the rights you have under UK consumer law.
1. What an e-gift card is
An e-gift card is digital content supplied electronically. It is a prepaid credit delivered by email as a code, redeemable against goods at www.loadeddice.uk and in-store. It is not a bank card, is not a cash substitute, and holds no value once redeemed or expired.
2. Immediate delivery and your right to cancel
E-gift cards are issued and delivered immediately after purchase. By completing your purchase you expressly request that we supply the e-gift card straight away, and you acknowledge that once it has been issued you lose the 14-day right to cancel that would otherwise apply to digital content bought online under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Because of this, an e-gift card is non-refundable once issued, except where we are required to refund you by law (for example, if the e-gift card is faulty — see section 8). This applies whether the card is unused, partly used, or unwanted.
3. Delivery, email accuracy and spam/junk filters
It is your responsibility to enter the correct recipient email address at checkout. We send the e-gift card to the exact address you provide, and the card is treated as delivered once we have sent it to that address.
If the e-gift card does not arrive, please check your (or the recipient's) junk, spam, promotions and clutter folders first, as automated filters frequently divert this type of email. We are not responsible for non-delivery, delay or non-receipt caused by matters outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to: an incorrect, misspelt or out-of-date email address supplied at checkout; the email being filtered into a junk, spam or promotions folder; a full mailbox; the recipient's mail server, firewall or security settings blocking or rejecting the message; or the recipient's own device or internet issues.
Where an e-gift card has genuinely not been received and has not been redeemed, contact us and we will resend it to the correct address. We do not consider non-receipt in these circumstances to be grounds for a refund.
4. Validity and expiry
E-gift cards are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase. The expiry date is stated at the point of purchase and in the confirmation email. Once expired, an e-gift card and any unused balance on it will be invalidated, cannot be reinstated, and we cannot refund any remaining balance.
5. Redeeming your e-gift card
E-gift cards can be redeemed in full or in part. If the value of your order is less than the balance on the card, the remaining balance stays on the card for future purchases until the expiry date. If your order is worth more than the card, you simply pay the difference by another accepted payment method. E-gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and no change is given in cash.
6. Keeping your e-gift card secure
Treat your e-gift card code like cash. Anyone who presents a valid, unredeemed code can use the balance, so keep it confidential and do not share it publicly. We are not able to reissue a balance that has already been redeemed, and we are not responsible for e-gift cards that are lost, stolen, forwarded or used without your permission after we have correctly delivered them. Where a code has not been redeemed and you can provide your original order confirmation, we will do our best to help, including cancelling and reissuing the code at our discretion.
7. Fraud, tampering and misuse
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or invalidate an e-gift card that we reasonably believe has been obtained fraudulently, tampered with, duplicated, purchased using a fraudulent or reversed payment, or used in breach of these terms. E-gift cards cannot be used to purchase another gift card, and cannot be resold or offered as part of any unauthorised promotion.
8. If something goes wrong
If your e-gift card is faulty, does not work correctly, or is not delivered because of an error on our part, contact us and we will put it right — normally by reissuing the card — in line with your legal rights. Where goods you have bought using an e-gift card are returned or exchanged for goods of a lower price under our returns policy, any money owing to you will be refunded to an e-gift card rather than in cash. This does not affect your statutory rights.
9. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Paying with an e-gift card does not reduce those rights: goods bought using an e-gift card must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and if they are not you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund in the usual way.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time where it is reasonable and necessary to do so. Any changes will apply to e-gift cards purchased after the changes take effect and will not reduce the value or usability of an e-gift card you have already bought.
11. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Loaded Dice Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. If you have any questions about your e-gift card, please contact us via www.loadeddice.uk.
