Browse Space Marine Factions

Space Marine factions are the galaxy’s most elite, gene-forged warriors—each Chapter bringing its own flavour of zeal, tactics, and gloriously unsubtle firepower.

From fanatical Black Templars to stealthy Raven Guard and tech-mad Iron Hands, every Chapter fights the Emperor’s wars with its own brand of overkill.

Space Marines in Warhammer 40,000 are genetically enhanced, superhuman soldiers clad in power armour, serving the Imperium of Man. Trained for war from a young age and organized into formidable Chapters, these warriors are the backbone of humanity's defence against the myriad threats of the grim and dark future.

Born from the Emperor’s own gene-forges, Space Marines are humanity’s sledgehammer—engineered to crush anything foolish enough to stand in their way. Whether you prefer the stoic discipline of the Ultramarines, the zeal of the Black Templars, or the barely-contained fury of the Blood Angels, every Chapter offers a distinct playstyle and aesthetic to dive into. On the tabletop they’re flexible, durable, and downright rude to play against (in a good way). From elite Terminators to fast-strike Outriders and thunderous Dreadnoughts, Space Marines give you the tools to build an army that hits hard, adapts fast, and refuses to die. Perfect for newcomers, veterans, and anyone who enjoys solving problems with power armour and a bolter.

Frequently Asked Question

Ultramarines are the classic all-rounders — flexible, forgiving, and with loads of supporting lore and models. But honestly, any Chapter you like the look of will serve you well.

Firstborn are the classic old-school Marines; Primaris are the taller, shinier, more “please-buy-our-new-range” Marines. Both are fully playable and mix just fine.

Totally. You can kitbash, paint your own custom Chapter, or run mixed models within the same Chapter rules. The lore police won’t show up… probably.

They’re almost always solid. Space Marines rarely fall out of the meta for long, and they have one of the widest unit rosters in the game.

A Combat Patrol or Starter Set is plenty to hit the table. Around 20–30 models is enough to get you playing comfortably.

Whatever you like. Blue, red, black, yellow, hazard stripes… it all works on power armour. The Emperor appreciates artistic freedom.

They’re one of the more budget-friendly armies due to flexible list building and loads of boxed-set savings. Plus, you don’t need hordes of infantry.

Absolutely. They’re durable, iconic, and easy to assemble and paint — perfect for easing back in.
