Loaded Dice is proud to sponsor our local wargaming club, "Ministry of Dice".
Our Story
The club was established in early 2018 by Lee, who envisioned a space where like-minded individuals could come together and enjoy their shared passions as a group. From the beginning, we aimed to create an inclusive environment where people from all walks of life could connect and flourish.
Our journey began in a small venue above a pub in Barry, but when that arrangement fell through, we moved to the team meeting room at Morrisons. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, that too came to an end. Lee then generously offered his tattoo parlour, Chimera, as our new home. Each of these locations held great memories, and our group grew steadily, becoming an important part of our lives for various reasons.
In late 2019, we were devastated by the loss of our founding member, Lee. His passing was a huge shock, and as time went on, our group began to drift apart, with members gradually stepping away until the club became a thing of the past.
Fast forward to 2022, when Andrew Higgs reignited the spark by starting a HeroQuest game that brought some of us back together. It was during this time that I met Jack Angel, who expressed an interest in playing Warhammer 40K. Despite his initial choice of Necrons (which admittedly made me cringe!), we quickly bonded over the game. As we played more, the passion for the hobby grew, not just for us but for others as well.
In 2022, we decided to officially restart the club, feeling that this would be a fitting tribute to the amazing work Lee had begun. Since then, we've gone from strength to strength, and we're committed to ensuring that this club continues to thrive, carrying forward Lee's legacy.
