Every painter has a jar of shame: brushes with splayed tips, hooked points and paint dried into the ferrule. Abteilung 502's Magic Potion (ABT117) is a cleaner and restorer made to bring them back — and because it contains no solvents or alcohol, it won't wreck the hair of natural or synthetic brushes while it works.
How to use
- Soak the brush tip in the liquid for 24 hours for a deep clean and restore
- Suspend the brush so the tip doesn't rest on the bottom of the pot and set into a bend
- Repeat the soak on very damaged brushes if the first pass doesn't shift everything
A bottle of this costs a fraction of one decent sable — if it rescues a single favourite brush, it has paid for itself several times over.
