At Loaded Dice, we reckon your hobby time should be the best part of the week — not a faff. We're an independent games shop at 28 Holton Road, Barry — just a short drive from Cardiff — packed with Warhammer, trading cards, board games, RPGs, model kits, paints, toys and collectibles, run by people every bit as obsessed with this stuff as you are.

How it started

Loaded Dice began in 2020, when Graham had a fairly simple idea: make it easy for hobby fans to get the things they love, without the stress. Local shops were vanishing, and we wanted somewhere reliable for the community to shop and natter.

We kicked off on eBay and Amazon during lockdown, helping people keep their hobbies going when everything else was shut. We built out our Amazon Prime range, were the first to bring the AK Interactive line to Amazon, and still work closely with them today.

From the screen to the high street

In 2023 we opened our very own shop at 28 Holton Road in Barry, South Wales — and finally got to meet the people we'd previously only known as order numbers. The range has kept growing ever since, and so has the fun.

The shop and the warehouse

As more orders started flying out the door, the shop could no longer double as a stockroom — so online orders now ship from a dedicated warehouse (we call it the WaaaghHouse). Translation: your parcels go out faster, and the shop floor gets to be a proper shop floor rather than an obstacle course of boxes. The warehouse is the engine room; the Barry shop is the heart.

Step through the door on Holton Road and you'll find over 10,000 products across the shelves and stockroom — from Warhammer boxes and Citadel paints to sealed Pokémon, Magic and Lorcana, board games and everything in between. There's a proper painting and hobby range, new releases out on launch day, and a click-and-collect station so you can order online and pick up in store whenever it suits you. Meet the team

We're a small, hobby-mad crew — and mostly, we practise what we sell. Here's who you'll be dealing with.

Graham

Managing Director

The Loaded Dice mastermind — and, by his own admission, the one to blame for all of it. Ex-RAF, Graham's happiest at the painting desk building dioramas and Warhammer armies (he plays a bit too) and specialises in Lorcana. Runs the whole thing alongside his wife, Aimee — a proper family business.

Leigh

Assistant Managing Director

Graham's old RAF buddy, who moved to Wales recently to be closer to the madness. A football man begrudgingly learning Warhammer, and a keen Pokémon collector alongside his two boys.

Chris

Operations Manager

A science-fiction devotee and the master of boxing up anything large or awkward for delivery. No time to paint or play these days — unless DIY at home counts as a hobby.

Ben

Store Manager

The friendly face behind the counter who could happily talk hobby all day. His specialisms are Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons, and he's deeply involved in the local gaming community, including charity work.

Our resident miniature painter, forever sharpening his craft. Collects Pokémon on the side and is currently learning to play Warhammer 40,000 with Jack.

Our resident Warhammer expert and a South Wales tournament regular, now dabbling in D&D. The face of our social media videos — and the man who keeps the WaaaghHouse running.
