Smoke is the soft, sooty tone for everything that burns and scorches — exhaust staining, gun soot, engine grime and the dark haze that gathers around vents and muzzles. It's subtle and buildable, so you can whisper a hint of soot or lay it on thick for a hard-worked machine.
At a glance
- AK Interactive weathering pencil, colour Smoke (ref AK10003)
- Water-soluble, semi-grease pigment on a 17cm pencil
- Non-toxic and easy to control — work it dry or blend it wet
- Draws onto matt surfaces best, but grips other finishes too
Best for
- Exhaust and gun soot
- Engine grime and scorch marks
- Dark haze around vents and muzzles
Build it up around the exhausts and muzzles and the machine starts to look like it's actually been fired in anger.
The soot-and-scorch pencil for hard-worked kit. Pairs naturally with the wider weathering range and a fine detail brush for blending.
