Cheaper than buying the kits separately — a ready-to-play Combat Patrol force
Read moreRead less
Cold, logical and brutally efficient, the Iron Hands prefer to let the guns do the talking — and Combat Patrol: Iron Hands hands you a complete gunline in a single box. It's a sharp, ready-to-play way into the Chapter that trusts the machine over the flesh, and a genuine saving over buying the kits separately.
What's in the box
1 Primaris Techmarine, built with a choice of helmeted or bare head and an open hand or grav-pistol
10 Heavy Intercessors across two five-strong squads, armed with heavy bolt rifles as standard and the option to upgrade some to heavy bolters, plus parts for up to two optional Sergeants
2 Firestrike Servo-turrets, each built with a twin Firestrike las-talon or twin Firestrike autocannon
A brand-new Iron Hands Transfer Sheet with 468 waterslide transfers — Chapter icons, battlefield role markings and numbers
11 × 40mm and 2 × 80mm round bases
Best for
A tough, shooting-focused start to a Space Marines army — dig in and let the heavy bolt rifles do the work
Swap turret loadouts to answer tanks (las-talon) or infantry blobs (autocannon)
Black armour with a few cold metallic accents makes Iron Hands quick to get battle-ready — then it's over to you for the bionic detailing that gives the Chapter its character.
Supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue and paints sold separately — grab the right Citadel paints for the job, and see the rest of the Iron Hands range to build out the force.

Hand over the choice instead. A Loaded Dice eGift Card arrives by email in seconds and spends on anything we stock — so they can grab this the moment it's back, or pick something else entirely.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a starter set for a complete beginner?
Not really, and we'd rather say so than take the order. This is an army box — a discounted bundle of models for one faction, supplied as standard multipart kits. There's no game mat, no dice and no introductory rules, and you'll need glue, clippers and paints. If you've never played, start with a proper starter set. If you already play and want this faction, this is the best-value way in.
Yes. These are standard multipart Citadel kits, supplied on sprues, unpainted and unassembled. Plastic glue and a pair of clippers are the minimum, and a hobby knife for cleaning up mould lines is well worth having.
Neither — this box is models and their assembly instructions. Datasheets for these units are available free through Games Workshop's own app, so you can play without buying anything else; a printed codex is for the lore, the detachment rules and the pleasure of owning it.
Yes, meaningfully — that's the entire reason these boxes exist. Games Workshop price them well below the sum of the individual kits, which is why they sell out and why we can't always restock a given faction. If the one you want is gone, buying the kits individually is usually quicker than waiting.
Are Iron Hands a good army to start with?
A solid choice. Iron Hands lean into durability and machinery — Space Marines who'd rather grind you down than out-manoeuvre you, with a natural pull towards vehicles and Dreadnoughts. Straightforward to learn, and metallics are quick to paint well.
