Bone is a pale, warm off-white wash — the shade for ivory, teeth, parchment and pale stone, settling into the recesses to define detail without darkening the surface too far. Part of Duncan Rhodes' Two Thin Coats range, it flows cleanly over light base tones where a darker wash would flatten the colour and lose the contrast you're after.

Brush it straight from the bottle and let it pool into the folds and details — one thin coat is usually enough, and it's forgiving if you need to go back for a second pass.
