Ultimate Guard's Boulder Solid case swaps the usual smoky-clear plastic for a fully opaque shell — no seeing your cards' edges through the sides, no light bleed, just a dead-black box. Paired here with 100 Matte Black Cortex sleeves for a setup that's genuinely dark all the way through, not just dark-tinted.

What's in the box

  • Ultimate Guard Boulder 100+ Solid deck box, Black, fully opaque finish
  • 100x Cortex sleeves, standard size (66 x 91mm), Matte Black
  • Case holds 100 double-sleeved cards, or up to 120 single-sleeved

Good to know

  • Solid opaque shell hides your cards completely, unlike the clear Onyx case
  • Matte sleeves keep glare off the table under bright shop lighting

The go-to choice for players who want their kit properly blacked out, not just dark-toned.

Genuinely opaque, genuinely matte, genuinely black. Compare it with the clear Onyx bundle and the rest of the range in our Ultimate Guard collection, or browse deck boxes on their own.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many cards does it hold — and does that count sleeves?

Capacity figures on deck boxes are for sleeved cards, so a box rated 100+ holds a 100-card deck in standard sleeves, with the plus giving headroom for a few tokens or extras. If you double-sleeve, treat the rated number as optimistic and size up.

Will a Commander deck fit?

A 100+ box takes a Commander deck in single sleeves with a bit of room for the commander and a handful of tokens. Double-sleeving, or carrying a full token and dice setup, wants a 133+ or larger — the extra couple of pounds saves the daily annoyance of a lid that won't quite shut.

Is it worth paying more for a premium deck box?

For a deck you carry around, usually. The differences that actually matter are a lid that stays shut in a bag, a shell rigid enough to survive being sat on, and a lining that won't scuff your sleeves. A cheap box is perfectly fine sitting on a shelf — it's transport that finds its limits.

Can I store a deck in here long term?

Yes, as long as the cards are sleeved and the box lives somewhere dry and out of direct sunlight — light and humidity do far more damage than any box. If you're storing a collection rather than a deck, a portfolio is easier to browse and kinder to the cards.
