Same 2mm footprint as the classic disc, three times the depth — and that changes what they can do. These 2mm × 3mm N52 neodymium rods from Colour Forge sink deep into a drilled hole, giving a small join serious grip and doubling as a magnetic pin. Where a slim disc might pop loose on a heavy arm, a rod seated in 3mm of plastic stays put.
Best for
- Heavier arm and weapon swaps that outmuscle a thin disc
- Magnetic pinning across thicker joins — shoulders, waists, weapon mounts
- Resin and metal models where extra hold matters
Fitting tips
- Drill a 2mm hole at least 3mm deep and seat with superglue
- Check polarity twice — a buried rod is no fun to reverse
- Pair with a matching rod, or a 2mm disc on the shallower side of the join
They're the quiet heroes of a magnetisation project: invisible once fitted, and the join simply doesn't wobble.
