Every Warhammer hobbyist has one. The stack in the wardrobe, the tower under the desk, the boxes you bought in a sale, in a bundle, or in a moment of lore-fuelled madness after watching one battle report too many. The pile of shame. Be honest: some of those boxes are never getting built.
So here's a better plan for them. Reclamation is our new Warhammer trade-in. You sell us the Games Workshop boxes you're done with for Chamber store credit, and spend it on the army you actually want, in our Barry shop or online. Pop the barcodes into our Warhammer Trade-In page and you'll know what they're worth before you've finished your brew.

What Is Reclamation?
Reclamation has two halves, and we'd rather be upfront about both.
- You trade in: we buy your unbuilt Games Workshop boxes and pay you in store credit.
- We sell them on: the boxes we take in go back on our shelves as Reclamation stock, at a discount, so people just starting out in the hobby have a cheaper way in.
That's the deal. Your boxes get built by someone who's itching to paint them, a new player gets their first army for less, and you get credit towards your next project.
What We'll Take
There are three conditions, and the trade-in page shows you a figure for each one.
- Sealed, mint: factory seals intact and the box in good nick. This gets our best rate.
- Sealed, damaged box: seals intact, but with dented corners, crushed edges or a bit of sun fade. The plastic inside is fine, so it still earns a good rate.
- Opened, complete: the box has been opened, but every sprue is there and unclipped, and the instruction booklet is included. A slightly lower rate, but still well worth it for that kit you opened, sniffed and put back.
What we can't take: built, part-built or painted models, kits with clipped or missing sprues, boxes without their instructions, and anything that isn't Games Workshop. And please don't reseal a box. If something sent as sealed has been opened and resealed, or doesn't match your photos and description, we'll send it back at your cost.
How Much Will I Get?
Your credit is a share of our current selling price for that box on loadeddice.uk. It isn't based on RRP or an eBay guess, just the price you'd pay us today.
We price by barcode, the number under the stripes on the back or side of the box. Games Workshop sometimes reboxes a kit with a new barcode, so the barcode tells us exactly which version you've got. Type it in and you'll see what each condition is worth straight away.
Type the barcode and you get a credit figure for every condition, there and then.
Older or discontinued box? Barcode not on file, or no barcode at all? Add it anyway. We'll price it by hand from your photos within 3 working days, as a share of today's nearest equivalent. Genuine collector's items get an individual offer.
Two things to know. Because quotes follow our prices, a box that's on sale with us will quote at its sale price. And your quote is confirmed once we've seen your photos and checked the boxes.
How It Works
- Check your boxes. Type each barcode, pick its condition and add it to your list. Add as many as you like. No barcode? Tap My box has no barcode, tell us what it is and we'll quote it ourselves.
- Send us your list. Add photos of every side of each box, so we can see the seals. For opened boxes, show the sprues, contents and instruction booklet too. Then add your details and confirm the items are yours and that you're 18 or over.
- We confirm your quote. We check your photos and email you to confirm.
- Get them to us. Bring them to our shop at 28 Holton Road, Barry, or post them to our warehouse: Loaded Dice, Unit C4, Windmill Park, Hayes Road, Sully, Vale of Glamorgan, CF64 5AD. If your boxes are worth over £100 at our prices, we'll email you a free tracked shipping label. Under that, post them at your own cost, packed inside an outer box with padding so the corners stay sharp.
- Get your credit. We check every box and add your Chamber store credit within 48 hours.
Why Store Credit?
Reclamation pays in Chamber store credit only, not cash. It sits on your Loaded Dice account and works in our Barry shop and online, so your old boxes turn straight into paints, brushes, a new codex or the army you've been eyeing up. It keeps the scheme simple for us, and it keeps the plastic moving round the hobby.
Good Reasons to Clear the Pile
- The pile of shame is getting taller. Swap the boxes you'll never build for something you will.
- You're moving to 11th edition. Trade in the 10th edition boxes that don't fit your plans and put the credit towards your new army.
- You've changed armies. It happens to all of us. That half-started second army can fund the one you've fallen for.
- You're helping new players start for less. Every box you trade in becomes a cheaper first army for someone else.

Yes. Reclamation covers Games Workshop boxes across its games. If your box has no barcode, or we don't have its barcode on file, add it anyway and we'll price it by hand within 3 working days.
What if my box has no barcode?
Tap My box has no barcode on the trade-in page, type the name of the box and choose older box or collector's item. We'll price it from your photos within 3 working days.
Do you pay cash?
No. Reclamation pays in Chamber store credit only, to spend in our Barry shop and online.
How quickly do I get my credit?

Can I bring my boxes into the shop?
Yes. Send your list through the trade-in page first so we can confirm your quote, then bring the boxes to 28 Holton Road, Barry, with photo ID.
Where do I post my boxes?
To our warehouse, not the shop: Loaded Dice, Unit C4, Windmill Park, Hayes Road, Sully, Vale of Glamorgan, CF64 5AD. Only post once we've emailed to confirm your quote, and put your reference on a note inside. Our Barry shop is for drop-offs in person.
What happens if a box isn't as described?
If a box sent as sealed has been resealed, or anything doesn't match your photos and description, we'll send it back at your cost.
Do I need to be 18?
Yes. You need to be 18 or over and own the boxes you're trading in.
