Light Flesh Tone is a purpose-made oil for painters who build faces and hands the slow way — glazing and blending rather than blocking in flat skin. Use it neat to illuminate raised areas of skin directly, or fuse it into your base flesh tone for the smooth, gradual transitions that oils do better than almost any other medium. The long open time means you can keep working a blend long after acrylics would have already dried on you.
Best for
Illuminating and blending skin tones on faces and hands
Oil-technique figure painting, from busts to 54mm and up
Softening the transition between base flesh and highlight
A genuinely useful basic colour for anyone painting skin in oils — smooth, forgiving, and far more lifelike than a straight acrylic highlight.
A modeller's oil that goes a very long way. Explore the full oil paints range, or pick up a fine detail brush to work it with.
