Book 11 in the saga, and Cain's hard-won retirement is on the line. When weapons stop flowing from a newly founded forge world, only one man is (un)willing to investigate — the Imperium's most reluctant commissar. Cue assassination attempts, mutinous skitarii, heresy in the Adeptus Mechanicus and a hidden hand pulling the strings. Darkly hilarious, action-packed and pure Cain.
