Centurion Red is the payoff for all that patient work with Emperor Red underneath — a brighter, warmer red built specifically to sit on raised edges and catch the light. It's not a random "bright red" pulled off a shelf; it's tuned to the Emperor Red midtone so the transition reads as one smooth gradient instead of two colours arguing with each other.

A little goes a long way — thin it slightly and it feathers beautifully along raised edges without swamping the midtone beneath.
