Getting Started with Space Marines hands you a full 13-model Combat Patrol — the ideal first force for Warhammer 40,000 — along with the paints, brush and guidebook to build it, colour it and get it on the table. One box, no guesswork — just add a pair of clippers.

Is Getting Started with Space Marines a good first Warhammer 40,000 army?

It's the safest first army in the game. Space Marines are the iconic faction, the rules are the most straightforward to learn, and thirteen models is a full Combat Patrol — a proper playable force rather than a taster. If you already know you want the Angels of Death, skip the dabbling and start here.

What's in Getting Started with Space Marines?

13 push-fit Space Marines forming a complete Combat Patrol detachment — a Captain with Relic Shield, a Librarian, five Intercessors, five Vanguard Veterans and a Land Speeder. Plus 11 Warhammer Colour paints chosen for Space Marines, a starter brush, a texture spreader for bases, and a full guidebook covering the setting, building and painting.

Do I need glue or clippers for the Space Marines?

No glue — every model is push-fit and clicks together. You'll want a pair of clippers to free the parts from their frames, and they aren't included in this box.
