Fast, convincing rust for hard-worn machines. Vallejo's Mecha Color Dark Rust Wash flows into vents, seams and recesses to stain metal with deep, believable corrosion — the quick route to a mech or vehicle that's clearly seen years of service. Its tough formula suits the models that get picked up and played with.
Best for
Deep rust and corrosion on mecha, vehicles and metalwork
Streaking from bolts, seams and worn edges
Brush for targeted rust, or airbrush for soft build-up
Streak it downward and let it dry uneven for the most authentic rust runs.
The quick way to age metal with deep rust. Pair it with a lighter rust tone and chipping for a full weathered look.
