Brown Glaze is the pot you reach for when a model needs warming up rather than repainting — a translucent film of brown you can layer over a base to deepen recesses, tie your tones together and build grime, all without burying the detail underneath. A proper cornerstone shade from Vallejo's Model Color range.
Best for
Building depth in gentle, controllable layers
Unifying a paint job that looks a touch patchy
Grime, aged wood and smoke effects
Because it's transparent you stay in control — a light pass warms things up, a few more build real shadow where you want it.
A quiet secret weapon for shading and weathering. Works a treat over the rest of your Model Color browns and a soft brush.
