Chocolate Brown is a deep, dependable dark brown — the reliable base coat under leather, wood, earth and hair, and a superb shadow tone for warming down almost anything. One of the most-used pots in Vallejo's Model Color range, and for good reason.
Best for
Base-coating leather, wood, earth and hair
Deep shadow tones under warmer browns
Smooth, self-levelling coats with minimal brushstrokes
Lay it down solid as a foundation and build every warmer brown on top — it's the workhorse that makes the rest of your browns look good.
The dark brown backbone of any palette. Pair it with warmer browns and tans for natural layering.
