Sunset Red is a warm, glowing red with an orange heart — the colour of a low sun and dying embers. It's a superb warm red for cloaks and heraldry, and a natural mid-tone for building fiery flame and glow effects.
Best for
Warm cloaks and heraldry
Flame and ember glow effects
Mid-tone between red and orange
Sit it between a deep red shadow and a bright orange highlight and a torch, brazier or gout of flame builds up in convincing, glowing steps.
A warm, glowing sunset red. Pair it with an orange highlight and the wider Vallejo Model Color range.
