Red Primer is the classic red-oxide undercoat colour — the shade that shows through wherever topcoat paint has chipped away to the primer beneath. It's the secret to convincing chipping: scratch it in at the edges and worn spots and the damage reads as paint flaking back to the primer layer, exactly as it would on the real thing.
