Every horde army needs a shortcut, and Fur Brown is it. This warm, pure brown Army Painter spray primer lays the perfect undercoat on Skaven, Beastmen and anything covered in fur or hide — one pass and your rank-and-file are already halfway painted. It doubles nicely as a weathered wood tone on warmachines and wagons, too.
Why it's good
Matt finish, colour-matched to the Warpaints range for easy touch-ups
Batch-primes a fur-heavy army in minutes, not hours
Sits beautifully under a dark wash for instant depth
Fine, even coverage that keeps every detail crisp
Prime the whole mob in one go, hit it with a dark wash, and you've a tabletop-ready warband before the afternoon's out. Tidy up the odd hard-to-reach spot with a Basecoating Brush and you're done.
A warm brown undercoat that does half the work for you. Follow it with a wash to sink the shadows and the fur practically paints itself.
