A strong blue is a slog to build up by brush, so let the can do it. Ultramarine Blue lays down a bright, even blue basecoat in one pass — the obvious starting point for a certain flavour of blue-armoured Space Marine, but equally at home on lizardfolk, guardsmen and rank-and-file historicals.
Why it's good
Colour-matched to the Warpaints range for tidy touch-ups
Even, vibrant blue coverage with no brush marks
Ideal groundwork for blue power armour and cold-blooded hordes
Shades beautifully under a dark-tone wash
Base a full battle company of blue armour in an afternoon, then wash and highlight to taste.
Blue armour, sorted from the start. Reach for a Basecoating Brush and a Quickshade wash to finish the job.
