Metallic paint is murder on a good brush — those tiny flakes of pigment work their way into the hairs and never quite leave. The smart move is a dedicated metallics brush, and this size 2 flat from Turbo Dork's Fauxlinsky range is built for the job. The synthetic Kolinsky-style hair is tough, easy to clean and hard to wear out, so it keeps going long after a sable would have given up.
Best for
Laying down metallics on armour plates, blades and vehicle hulls
Turbo Dork's metallic and colourshift paints
Crisp, straight edges thanks to the flat profile
Keeping your best detail brushes metal-free
The shortened handle and wide dowel-style grip give you steady control on long, flat strokes — exactly what you want for even coverage on a metallic finish.
