Word Bearers Red is a deep, dark crimson with real richness to it — the sort of red that looks sinister rather than cheerful. It's a superb shadow red for layering, and a natural choice for darker armour schemes, robes and anything that should feel a little bit unholy.
Best for
Dark, sinister red armour and robes
Shadow tones under brighter reds
Rich heraldry and cloth
Use it as the deep base of a red blend, then bring brighter reds in on top for armour that looks like it's been dipped in old blood.
A deep, sinister crimson for armour dipped in old blood. Pairs naturally with the rest of the layer range and a good brush to blend it up.
