Chamber+ Gift Card, Classic front: black metal card laser-engraved in silver

Meet the Chamber+ Gift Card: The Engraved Metal Gift Card Anyone Can Top Up

Posted By Graham Scutt on

You know the drill. A birthday is coming up, the hobbyist in your life already owns half the shop, and you have no idea whether they need more Space Marines, a new brush, or the exact paint pot they ran out of on Tuesday. So you buy a gift card. They spend it in a weekend, the card goes in a drawer, and the whole thing has all the emotional weight of a till receipt.

We thought gift cards deserved better. So we made one out of metal. The Chamber+ Gift Card is solid black metal, laser-engraved in silver with their name and your message, loaded with anything from £20 to £250, and built to be kept, reloaded and used for years. Here is everything you need to know.

What is the Chamber+ Gift Card?

It is a proper, weighty, credit-card-sized slab of black metal that holds Loaded Dice credit. You spend it like any of our gift cards, on anything we sell, online or in the shop. The difference is everything else about it:

  • It is personal: their name, your name and a message of your choosing, engraved on the back.
  • It never expires: the balance sits there until they spend it, whether that is next week or after the next edition drops.
  • It can be topped up: by you, by them, or by Auntie Sue in Swansea. More on that shortly, because it is the clever bit.
  • It is made to order: each card is engraved here, by us, for the person you are buying it for.

The name is a nod to The Chamber, our rewards scheme. When the card is spent, it earns Chamber credit at the holder's level, from 1% to 6% back, just like spending any other way.

Six fronts, one for every kind of nerd

Pick the front that fits the person. Each one is engraved in silver on black, and frankly they look smarter than most of the wallets they will end up in.

  • Classic: clean, understated, the Loaded Dice logo and a double border. Safe for anyone.
  • Far-Future: spaceships, a ringed planet and hazard stripes, for the grimdark crowd and anyone collecting Warhammer.
  • Mythic: a dragon perched over a rune archway, for fantasy battle fans.
  • Roll for Loot: a treasure chest spilling coins and dice. Ideal for the RPG player or the card collector chasing the next pull.
  • Clip Build Paint: a model kit sprue, for the person who has strong opinions about mould lines.
  • Get Creative: paint pots, brushes and drips, for the painter in your life.

Watch it in a minute

Engraving, reloads and the reload bonus, all in about sixty seconds. Quicker than reading this, but please do keep reading.

How to order one

Step 1: Pick a front and a value

  • Choose one of the six designs and load it with anything from £20 to £250.

Step 2: Add the names and your message

  • Type who it is to, who it is from, and a short message. The preview shows you exactly how it will look before you pay.
  • Check the spelling. We engrave exactly what you type, and lasers are wonderfully precise and utterly unforgiving.

Step 3: We engrave it and load it

  • Each card is made to order and usually leaves us within 3 to 5 working days, with the money already on it.
  • It is sent free by Royal Mail Express (1 to 2 days), UK only.

Step 4: Hand it over and look smug

  • Optional, but recommended.

Christmas cut-off: order by Monday 14 December to have it in time for the big day. Launch offer: personalisation and delivery are both free.

The clever bit: anyone can top it up

This is where the Chamber+ card stops being a gift and starts being a habit. On the back is a 4-digit Card No. and a QR code. Anyone with that number can add money to the card at loadeddice.uk/reload, from £10 at a time. No account, no login, no faff.

  • Share the link: send the card's reload link to grandparents, aunts and uncles. Birthdays and Christmas are sorted, year after year, and nobody has to guess which Pokémon set is current.
  • It is safe to share: the Card No. can only add money. It cannot be used to spend the balance. That job belongs to the separate gift card code.
  • It checks before you pay: the reload page shows the initials engraved on the card, so you can confirm you are topping up the right one.
  • It is quick: reloads usually land on the card within minutes.
  • In the shop too: bring the card to the counter at our store and we can top it up at the till.
Reload bonuses (doubled at launch)

Every reload adds a little extra on top, which is more than your bank has ever done for you.

  • One-off reloads: £1 extra for every full £40.
  • Monthly auto reloads: £1 extra for every full £20, from the second payment onwards. A tidy way to drip-feed a hobby budget, or to keep a teenager's paint rack stocked without a monthly negotiation.
  • Launch offer: every reload bonus is doubled on reloads ordered up to and including 31 January 2027.

So at launch, a £40 one-off reload adds £42, and a £100 monthly auto reload adds £110 from the second month. The bonus goes on with the reload. If a reload is refunded, its bonus comes off too, which is only fair.

The sensible small print
  • Treat the gift card code like cash: anyone who has it can spend the balance. The Card No. on its own cannot.
  • Claim it to your account: optional, but it proves the card is yours if it ever goes missing.
  • Lost or stolen? Tell us straight away. A replacement card is £10, and the unspent balance moves over. If the card is not claimed, we will ask for proof of purchase.
  • Personalised means final: once a card is engraved, it cannot be cancelled. Get in touch quickly if you have made a mistake, and if we have not engraved it yet, we will refund you in full.

The full rules live on our gift card terms. Need a present in the next five minutes rather than the next five days? Our eGift card arrives by email in seconds. You can compare both on our gift cards page.

Final Thought: most gift cards are a polite way of saying you ran out of ideas. The Chamber+ card is a present in its own right: engraved, kept, and quietly topped up by the whole family for years. It is the last gift card you will need to buy them. Which, for the record, is not the same as the last gift.
