Square basing means one thing: rank-and-file. Historicals, mass-battle fantasy and any system that likes its units in tidy blocks all lean on square footprints, and 40x40mm covers the larger troop types and cavalry that need more room than a standard infantry square.
What's in the box
5 x square plastic bases, 40 x 40mm
Black plastic with a lightly textured finish
Sized for larger infantry, cavalry and rank-and-file units
Why it's good
Rough texture keeps glue, sand and flock firmly gripped
Consistent sizing across a whole unit block
Squares butt together cleanly for rank-and-file formations
Sand it, paint it, tuft it — a tidy square footing that keeps your regiment lined up properly on the table.
Reference: AK1117. Add texture paste and static grass to finish them off in style.
