Start dark and let your colours do the drama. This Army Painter black airbrush primer lays down a smooth, ultra-matt foundation through the airbrush — ideal for deep shadow, zenithal work and any scheme that benefits from a dark undercoat.
Why it's good
Deep black base for shadow and moody schemes
Perfect starting point for zenithal highlighting
Ultra-matt finish gives paint something to grip
Thin it into the airbrush well and lay an even coat — shadows are pre-placed and metallics sit richer over black.
The dark foundation for shadow-first painting. Pair it with the white airbrush primer for zenithal priming.
