The galaxy's oldest killers are waking up, and Combat Patrol: Necrons — officially "Amonhotekh's Guard" — marches them out of the tomb in one box. Nineteen plastic miniatures give you a complete, balanced force: an Overlord to command, a squad of Necron Warriors to hold the line, Skorpekh Destroyers to do the killing, a Canoptek Doomstalker for long-range firepower, and a swarm of Canoptek Scarabs to chew through anything that gets close. It's as strong a starting point as it is a reinforcement for an existing dynasty, and it plays nicely with Codex: Necrons' current Reanimation Protocols and dynastic detachments.
What's in the box
1 Overlord
10 Necron Warriors
3 Skorpekh Destroyers and 1 Plasmacyte
1 Canoptek Doomstalker
3 Canoptek Scarab Swarms
19 plastic miniatures in total — a complete Combat Patrol force
Necrons are famously beginner-friendly to paint — a metallic base, a wash and a glowing weapon and your dynasty is already table-ready.
Supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue and paints sold separately — want the rules in the box too? Our Combat Patrol + Codex bundle works out cheaper than buying them apart. Grab the right Citadel paints for the job.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a starter set for a complete beginner?
Not really, and we'd rather say so than take the order. This is an army box — a discounted bundle of models for one faction, supplied as standard multipart kits. There's no game mat, no dice and no introductory rules, and you'll need glue, clippers and paints. If you've never played, start with a proper starter set. If you already play and want this faction, this is the best-value way in.
Yes. These are standard multipart Citadel kits, supplied on sprues, unpainted and unassembled. Plastic glue and a pair of clippers are the minimum, and a hobby knife for cleaning up mould lines is well worth having.
Neither — this box is models and their assembly instructions. Datasheets for these units are available free through Games Workshop's own app, so you can play without buying anything else; a printed codex is for the lore, the detachment rules and the pleasure of owning it.
Yes, meaningfully — that's the entire reason these boxes exist. Games Workshop price them well below the sum of the individual kits, which is why they sell out and why we can't always restock a given faction. If the one you want is gone, buying the kits individually is usually quicker than waiting.
Are Necrons a good army to start with?
One of the friendlier ones. Necrons are slow, durable and thematically built around getting back up after being knocked down, which forgives a lot of early mistakes — and metallic schemes are quick to paint to a good standard. Our army analysis covers playstyle, difficulty and what to buy next.
