Payne's Grey is the painter's alternative to reaching for plain black — a deep, cool blue-grey that shades without deadening whatever it's mixed into. This is the Pro Acryl Signature Series edition, chosen by community painter Vince Venturella, with a portion of every bottle sold going back to the artist behind the label.
Best for
Shading blues, dark cloth and cool metals without going flat black
Storm skies, shadowed recesses and desaturated colour work
Glazing and layering thanks to the high-pigment, thinnable formula
Mix it into your shadows instead of black and you'll notice the difference immediately — everything keeps its colour instead of just going dark.
A cool blue-grey staple, artist-approved. Explore the rest of the Pro Acryl range to build out your shadow and highlight sets.
