The Sherman Firefly was the Allied answer to heavy German armour — a standard Sherman up-gunned with the fearsome 17-pounder, and one of the few Allied tanks German crews genuinely respected. Tamiya's 1:48 kit captures that long-barrelled silhouette in a compact, well-detailed build with a die-cast metal hull for genuine heft.
What's in the box
1:48 scale plastic kit with a die-cast metal hull
Hull-mounted and separately moulded stowage and tools
New-tool sharp-nose gear housings at the hull front
Single-piece assembly-type tracks with straight runs
Markings for four historical Firefly tanks
That extra-long 17-pounder barrel makes the Firefly instantly recognisable — a must-have for any WWII Allied armour line-up, and the die-cast hull gives it real presence on the shelf.
