Fine finishing that follows every contour. Tamiya's 1500-grit sanding sponge sheet is the step that gets a surface ready for polishing — its flexible foam base moulds into curves and dips into corners a rigid sanding stick simply can't reach. Cut it down to whatever size you need and work wet or dry across plastic, resin, wood or metal.
Why it's good
Flexes into curves and recesses instead of skating over them
Fine 1500 grit leaves a smooth, even finish ready for polishing or gloss coats
Cut to size with scissors or a knife — one sheet, endless small jobs
How to use
Work wet for a finer, dust-free finish on canopies and clear parts
Follow on from a coarser grit before moving to polishing compound
Keep a few grits on the bench — each step gets you closer to flawless
It's the difference between a "good enough" seam and one that vanishes entirely under gloss or a canopy coat.
The fine-finishing step in the sequence. Follow on from the 600 grit sheet and finish with the 2000 grit for a mirror-ready surface.
