Which cards are Japanese size?
Japanese — or small — size sleeves fit cards around 59 x 86mm: Yu-Gi-Oh, Japanese-print Pokémon, Cardfight!! Vanguard and most Japanese-language games. Standard Western cards from Magic, English Pokémon or Lorcana are larger and won't fit in these.
A main deck runs 40 to 60 cards, plus up to 15 each in the Extra and Side decks — so a complete build usually wants 60 to 90 sleeves. Buy a little over rather than exactly enough: sleeves split, and matching a part-used pack months later is a lottery.
Can I double-sleeve Japanese-size cards?
Yes, and it's common in Yu-Gi-Oh. A perfect-fit inner goes on the card, then a Japanese-size outer over the top. Worth knowing there's a second method too — a Japanese card in a perfect-fit inner, then a standard-size outer. That fits fine and opens up the much wider range of standard-size designs.
Will Japanese-size sleeved cards fit a standard deck box?
Yes — they're smaller than standard sleeved cards, so any box rated for standard sleeves takes them with room to spare. You'll have a little slack, which a couple of card dividers will tidy up.
