Base — high-pigment basecoat
Smooth matte
Colour: deep burgundy
Read moreRead less
Barak-Nar Burgundy is a deep, wine-dark red with real richness — the sort of colour that makes armour and robes look expensive. As a high-pigment base it covers evenly in a single coat, laying a moody crimson foundation that's crying out for warmer red highlights or a glossy blood-red glaze on top.
Best for
Dark red and burgundy armour basecoats
Rich robes, cloth and heraldry
A deep base beneath brighter reds
Start with this depth and your reds get a maturity that a single bright coat never manages.
A dependable base you'll reach for army after army. Build the rest of your scheme from the Warhammer Colour Base range, and lay it down cleanly with a good brush.
