AK weathering set for engines, tracks and bare metal
Two dirt/grease colours, a wash, rust pigment and steel pigment
Reference AK087 · steel pigment buffs to a real metallic shine
Read moreRead less
Engine bays and bare metal don't play by the same rules as a painted hull, so this set doesn't try to make one product do everything. Five pieces cover the whole job: two enamel colours for grease and grime, a wash for shadow, a dark rust pigment, and a stand-out steel pigment that buffs up to a real metallic shine the more you work it in. It's the kind of finish that's hard to fake with ordinary metallic paint.
What's in the box
Two enamel colours for engine dirt and grease
An enamel wash for panel lines and shadow
A dark rust weathering pigment
A buffable steel pigment with no metallic flake
Best for
Engine bays, gearboxes and exposed mechanical detail
Tank tracks and running gear
Bare-metal chipping and general wear
Rub that steel pigment in with a soft brush or your fingertip and it polishes up like real gunmetal — no glitter, no flake, just a proper worn-steel finish that catches the light.
