Base, shade and highlight in a single pass over white primer
Read moreRead less
Purple armies are a right faff to paint the old-fashioned way — base coat, wash, layer, highlight, repeat forty times. AK's Quick Gen set skips all of that. It's a curated pick of the range's purple-leaning shades, each one a single-coat acrylic that lays down base tone, shade and highlight together as it settles into the recesses. Prime white, brush it on, and the contrast does the rest.
What's in the box
A selection of AK Quick Gen 18ml bottles in purple-dominant tones
Each shade labelled with a Low/Medium/High intensity guide so you know how it'll settle
Ready to use straight from the bottle over a white primer
How to use
Prime miniatures white for the contrast effect to read properly
Flow the paint over raised details and let it pool into recesses on its own
Thin with Quick Gen medium if you want a lighter, more translucent pass
It's the fastest way to get a coordinated regal-purple warband, chapter or cult on the table looking properly finished, without buying and blending a dozen separate pots.
One-coat purple, sorted. Grab a decent brush and see the rest of the AK Quick Gen range for more single-coat colours.
