Covers 1945 Panzer camouflage shades
Read moreRead less
By spring 1945 German armour was a patchwork of scrounged paint, worn primer and whatever camouflage scheme a hard-pressed factory could manage — and this set puts that exact chaos in your airbrush. AK Interactive's Real Colors range is formulated to match documented wartime references, so you're not guessing at "close enough" greens and browns.
Best for
Late-war Panther, Tiger II and StuG builds
Ambush and hardedge camouflage schemes
Anyone finishing a 1945 German armour diorama
Load the set straight into the airbrush and lay down base coats without mixing or thinning guesswork — the shades are ready to spray as supplied.

These are excellent colurs like all AK products but they are lacquers not acrylic. They really only suit airbrushing and need a lot of thinning and cleanup. If you use water or the wrong products you'll get a hideous gel or a solid gunk that is **** to remove.
I needed to brush and they dry really fast and 'pick up' if you overbrush areas not set yet. I used really cheap brushes and treated them as disposable.
My advice is use AK acrylics whether brushing or spraying.
As you found, lacquers are made for airbrushing and need proper thinning and cleanup, so they're not ideal for brush work — water or acrylic products will cause that gel/gunk reaction. For hand painting I'd always point people to AK's acrylic range instead, which handles both brushing and spraying beautifully.
It's noted on the product page, but we'll make it clearer for anyone less familiar with lacquer products. Hope that helps — happy to point you to the right one next time.
