The finer grade for finer work. Colour Forge's Basing Rocks (Small) are kiln-dried, super-lightweight stones you can tip straight from the pot onto a base — perfect when you want texture without it swamping a smaller model. No prep, no rinsing, just scatter and glue.
Best for
Scattered scree, gravel paths and fine ground texture
Miniature bases, terrain pieces and dioramas alike
Mixing with basing sand for a varied, natural-looking surface
How to use
Glue straight down with PVA, then seal once dry
Layer with sand or grit for depth before adding static grass
Takes washes and drybrushing well once fixed in place
Tip a pinch onto wet glue, tap off the excess, and that base already looks like it's been fought over.
Fine texture that finishes a base properly. Browse the wider basing materials range for sand, static grass and tufts to build the rest of the ground.
