Combat Patrol is Games Workshop's fastest way into a new army, and the new Adeptus Custodes box follows the formula: a tight roster built to be playable straight from the sprue, with enough elite killing power to punch well above its points.
What's in the box
1 Shield-Captain, leading from the front
A squad of Venatari jump infantry
A unit of Custodian Guard
1 Contemptor-Achillus Dreadnought
Datasheet cards and a token sheet for quick reference
Why start here
Playable as a complete, legal Combat Patrol force out of the box
A natural core to expand into a full Talons of the Emperor army
Whether it's your first army or your next one, this is the box that gets golden power armour on the table the fastest — and every model in it earns its place in a bigger force later.
