Bigger than T-Rex and happier in the water than out of it — Spinosaurus is currently reckoned the largest carnivorous dinosaur ever found, and the first known to swim for its supper. The EUGY Spino shrinks the sail-backed record-breaker down to desk size in eco-friendly card, teeth and all.

Ages 6+ · Builds in about 10–20 minutes

What's in the box

  • Pre-cut card slices, numbered from nose to tail — that famous sail builds itself in order
  • A pot of non-toxic glue — no extras needed
  • Illustrated instructions with proper dinosaur facts between the steps

Best for

  • Dino-mad kids who've moved past T-Rex and want the deep cuts
  • A screen-free build that holds attention right to the last numbered piece
  • Starting a prehistoric shelf — EUGY's dinosaurs display brilliantly together

Sail up and jaws forward, the finished Spino looks ready to slide off the shelf and into the nearest river — exactly as the real one would have wanted.

A record-breaker in every sense except size. Dig through the full EUGY line-up, or read our take on why building beats bingeing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need glue or scissors?

Neither, because the glue is already in the box — a pot of non-toxic glue comes with every EUGY. The card slices arrive pre-cut and numbered, so there's no cutting, no measuring and nothing else to buy. Open it and start.

What age are EUGYs for?

Six and up is the guide. Younger children get on with them happily alongside an adult for the fiddlier layers, and plenty of grown-ups build them without a child anywhere in sight — which we're not going to judge.

How long does one take to build?

Ten to twenty minutes — short enough to finish in one sitting, which is rather the point. It's a proper screen-free wind-down that ends with something to show for it, rather than a project that gets abandoned half-built on the kitchen table.

Why card kits beat screens →

What's actually in the box?

Pre-cut, numbered card slices that stack into the finished animal, a pot of non-toxic glue, and illustrated step-by-step instructions with genuine facts about the creature scattered through them. Designed in New Zealand, and the range holds a Red Dot Design Award — unusual for something this cheap.
