John Blanche is the artist who gave Warhammer its grim, gothic soul, and the Army Painter's Masterclass Series lets you paint in his shadow. Volume 1 is a curated Warpaints Fanatic set built to capture that moody, beautifully bizarre style — the perfect starting point for hobbyists chasing atmosphere over brightness.
With acrylics, washes and a Speedpaint in one box, you can move from basecoat to shaded finish without breaking the spell.
The Masterclass palette, distilled. Pair it with Volume 2 to complete the range, or a good brush to get painting.
