Kill Team is Warhammer 40,000 shrunk down to a knife fight: small squads of elite operatives, a compact board packed with terrain, and games that wrap up in about an hour. Every model matters, every decision counts, and you can build and paint a whole team in a weekend.
How Kill Team works
Each player fields a kill team of roughly five to fifteen models, each with its own role, from snipers and saboteurs to medics and heavy gunners. Operatives activate one at a time, alternating between players, so the game stays tense right to the last turn. Terrain is a huge part of it: climbing, vaulting and fighting through ruins is half the fun.
Where to start
- Kill Team Starter Set: the Kill Team: Starter Set has two complete teams (Angels of Death Space Marines and Death Guard Plague Marines), push-fit terrain, a double-sided board and a starter handbook. Everything two players need.
- Core Book: the Kill Team: Core Book holds the full rules, for when you're building your own collection.
- Kill team boxes: each box is a complete team for one faction, like Kill Team: Nemesis Claw or Kill Team: Wolf Scouts.
Many kill teams double up as units for full-size 40k armies, so nothing goes to waste if you fancy a bigger game later: see our Combat Patrols. Catch the latest team in our Aeldari Exodites Kill Team news, or browse the 40k terrain range to build out your killzone.
